NEW EMAIL ADDRESS

Recent emails to this site and comments attached to posts have provided some very interesting information. I receive many comments which are not always published (no, not the insulting ones) but ones which are initiated in order to “tip me off” or provide information on certain issues within the region. I have therefore decided to set up a separate email address for such items:

TheNorthernHeraldNewsDesk@Yahoo.Com

I know it sounds a bit cheesy, but this is a blog newspaper, so why not!

More seriously, it is to be used for any confidential items, information which you may think we can use or something which you feel needs looking at. Please don’t waste my time by using it as an opportunity to either insult me or somebody else. Such an approach is often used on the sites comment section and people only end up demeaning themselves. Therefore the rules regarding comments on the site also apply to this email address.

THE IDENTITY OF ANY SENDER WILL NEVER BE REVEALED. TOTAL CONFIDENTIALITY IS ASSURED.

Once a communication has been received, it will be looked, followed through and if appropriate, posted on. This will only happen when the details of the email have either been confirmed or warrant a public airing. The sender’s details will not feature in any communications.

Full details of the address and its purpose appear permanently on the sites side bar.

So go on, get your whistles and get blowing.

Great idea!

So how about taking it a stage further and offering a reward for information leading to the conviction of lying, cheating, scheming, dishonest and fiddling councillors and council officers?

You could always start with the missing ballot boxes!

Very good idea Ahmd. But if I offered rewards for the likes of who you have described, I would be skint such is the plethora of information which I would be faced with.
