IM A COUNCILLOR…. GET ME IN THERE!

BBC North East today launched its own reality series to challenge ITV’s “I’m A Celebrity.. Get Me Out Of Here!”. Entitled “I’m A Councillor…..Get Me In There”, the programme features local dignitaries and Councillors, brought together to face “trials”. Bussed in exclusively on the E2, the contestants will spend the next six weeks away from public contact and without any knowledge of the real world: yes, they are based in the Town Hall.

Here is a list of contenders and their “trials”;

COUNCILLOR GEORGE ELSOM: TO SPEND 30 MINUTES IN AN EMPTY ROOM AND NOT FALL OUT WITH HIMSELF.

COUNCILLOR DAVID POTTS: DIDN’T TURN UP, BUT HE WAS GOING TO BE ASKED TO TRAVEL ON SECOND CLASS TRANSPORT

AHMED KHAN: TO AVOID “TRIALS”

LORD WAGGOT OF WAGGSVILLE: TO SEEK RE-ELECTION IN 2008

DAVID MILIBAND: CHALLENGED TO ACTUALLY TURN UP

COUNCILLOR IAN MALCOLM: TO SPOT THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GYPSIES GREEN STADIUM AND A WHITE ELEPHANT

Many thanks to the posters at http://whiteleasandparkway.blogspot.com/ for sowing the seeds of sarcasm. You line em up, I’ll knock em down!
