A RECOMMENDATION.

Today’s “Guardian” contains a lovely insert entitled “The Archive: From Emmeline Pankhurst to Enoch Powell: The Very Best of the Guardians Political Writing From 1821 to 1975”. Corn Law reforms, Manchester slum areas and the arrival of Margaret Thatcher on the political scene; all are covered. This is a marvellous historical document, entertaining to the last article and very thought provoking.

Pick up a copy from your local newsagent; it will be well worth it
