CLUB HISTORY PART 2

Another hectic day lies ahead tomorrow, so posts will be light until the evening. Not one to miss an opportunity however, here is the last part of the Shield’s Harrier’s history intro. I have also posted some old pictures from past races, events, etc.

History, tradition, heritage? It’s got the lot!

PART 2: (continued) Club records

South Shields HAC: CLUB RECORDS

Introduction
As part of the club’s history, a section is obviously needed on club records – preferably at junior, senior & veterans’ level, & for both male & female. It would also be nice to include walking records, especially as the club has a world record there, & Diane Cotterill was awarded an England vest at 1.5 mile walk in 1964

The archive has the initial list of club & individual achievements (files 3.1-3.3) though there are still many gaps. Below is the only information I have on records, compiled by Owen in 1992 and supplemented by Mick Frazer.
