Rumour has it that the GMB/Unison ballot re job evaluation procedures has come out against the proposals put forward by South Tyneside Council. This will be a major blow for the Councils executive, who face a million pound bill for equalising male and female pay schemes. They have had 6 years to get this right and have failed miserably. Once again they have been defeated and held to account by a section of the public. Sound familiar?
There will be more posts on this issue when the full results are made public.
