CAMERONS TRUE VIEWS ON IMMIGRATION

Whilst David Cameron’s immigration speech has received wide spread news coverage today, it is A certain element that has not hit the headlines which causes more concern. The Times has reported that Mr Cameron referred to “one legged Lithuanian lesbians” when speaking to the Arts Council. Naturally, quite a lot of people are offended, particularly the Lithuanians. Vygaudas Usackas, Lithuanian Ambassador, is outraged and seeking a full explanation from the Tory leader. Unrepentant, a Conservative spokesman has commented “David was making a serious point on where grants go to”. So there you have it, Art’s Council grants go to foreigners of dubious sexual preferences with missing limbs.

Yesterday Cameron called for a “grown up argument” on immigration. Excellent, but we will clearly have to wait for the leader of the Conservative Party to elevate himself above the level of playground insult, Bernard Manning humour and sweeping generalisation. It also shows that the true nature of Tory feeling towards immigration is still tainted by bigotry and homophobia.
